Do I need to make an appointment or can I just come in?

If you call this office, you will never, never, ever, get a call back. I left around 20 voicemails. Also, the website is ancient and never updated.

What type of documentation do I need to apply for food stamps?

Every time I call to ask questions about the status of my case the phone just rings continually or I leave a voicemail and no one ever calls me back. This has been going on for weeks.

I was approved for benefits in September and my card never came and nobody ever calls me back. I call the hotline and it says my card is disabled and to call the NORTH suburban office but nobody ever responds or gets back to me. I have not received any benefits since applying for them for going on 2 months now. I just want to buy food for me and my kids.

Same issue as others. No one from that office ever calls back. You can’t never reach someone in that office, ever! Letters that they mail you come in late (I guess the postal office in that region is still backed up) and so appointments may be missed.

Why can’t I speak to someone at the local office? All calls go to Springfield.
