Food Assistance Program Temporary food assistance for eligible low-income families and individuals is available from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Eligibility is based on the financial situation of all members in the household.
Anyone who lives together and buys and prepares food together is considered to be a member of the same family group.
In general, we will review your expenses, assets, and income to determine which, if any, benefits you may be eligible for. Application process Or you must fill out and submit a request to determine if you are able to receive assistance with assistance such as food, Medicaid, child care, temporary money, an emergency, etc., through MDHHS.
When you submit an application, you may need to provide information about all members in your household.
The best way to determine whether you qualify and sign up is online with MI Bridges. Applications can be delivered, emailed or faxed by hand to our local office.
Customers receive a Michigan Bridge Card to purchase certain food products and access cash benefits at various retailers and ATMs across the state.
