    The mission of the Human and Community Services Division of the Montana Department of Public Health and Welfare is to promote employment, meet basic needs of families and individuals, and get out of poverty.
    The department provides cash assistance, employment training, additional nutritional assistance, Medicaid, child care, meal reimbursement, nutritional training, energy assistance, weather resistance, and other services to help families lift themselves out of poverty and help them become self-sufficient.
