SNAP, formerly known as food stamps, helps low-income Minnesotans get the nutritious and balanced meals they need.
We can help you stretch your household's food budget.

If you are approved for SNAP, you can use its benefits in many stores, farmer markets and senior dining venues.

Eligibility for SNAP depends on household income.
There are many deductions from income that are allowed under SNAP.
Your HR Partner can give you more information about this process.
Families with an income equal to or less than 165 per cent of the federal poverty guideline who have also received the Domestic Violence Information Leaflet will not have an asset limit to determine the benefits.

Then just tell your county employee that you received the brochure.
