Traill County Social Services Board Details

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as SNAP, is a federal program that helps low-income individuals/households buy nutritional food. You need to apply and meet certain requirements to get SNAP benefits. You also need to provide information such as income and expenses, among others to determine amount of SNAP benefits. 

Alcoholic beverages, tobacco, medicines, supplements, vitamins, prepared foods, and non-food items such as pet foods, cleaning supplies, paper products, hygiene items, and cosmetics cannot be purchased with SNAP benefits. You can purchase seeds and plants to produce food for household consumption.

Online food purchase:

You can now purchase food items online using your SNAP benefits at Aldi, Amazon, and Walmart
