Selma Southeast Regional Center Details
CalFresh benefits (formerly known as food stamps) are provided to low-income individuals/families to help purchasing nutritious food at authorized grocery stores, farmers markets, and other retailers. CalFresh benefits cannot be used to purchase alcoholic beverages, energy drinks, tobacco products, pet food, paper products, grooming supplies, cosmetics, vitamins, medicines and other non-food items. CalFresh benefits are given to approved recipients directly through an EBT card. Amount of benefit is based on household size, income, expenses and other factors pertinent to program guidelines.
Eligibility:
U.S. citizens or non-citizens who are legally residing in the U.S.
Non-citizen parents may be able to receive benefits for their children who are citizens.
Online food purchase:
You can purchase groceries online using Amazon and participating Walmart locations.
Note:
CalFresh benefits can be used to purchase seeds and plants to grow food.
