The Temporary Food Assistance Program for eligible low-income families and individuals is available from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Eligibility shall be based on the financial situation of all members of the household.
Everyone who lives together and buys and prepares food together is considered a member of the same household group.
In general, we will review your expenses, assets and income to determine what, if any, benefits you may be entitled to. The Process - You application must fill out and apply to determine if you are able to get help through such as meals, Medicaid, child care, temporary cash, emergency, etc., through MDHHS.
When you apply, you may need to provide information about all members of your household.
The best way to determine whether you qualify and sign up is online with MI Bridges. Applications can be delivered, emailed or faxed by hand to our local office.
Customers receive a Michigan Bridge Card to purchase certain food products and access cash benefits at a number of retailers and vending machines throughout the state.
